The new CURVE radio uses a brand new earpiece. You can tell the
difference between a CURVE earpiece and an earpiece compatible with
older radios by the number of pins. The CURVE earpiece (part
number 100683561) uses a single pin connection to the radio. The
older earpiece compatible with the DLR1060w and the RDM2070d
radios (part number 100515546) uses a two-pin connection.
Correct installation of your Motorola headset is essential
for proper function. Incorrectly installing the headset may
result in error and failure of the headset.
Installing a Motorola Headset
1. Turn off the radio 2. Open the accessory cover
located on the side of your radio 3. Insert the male end of
the headset into the jack pressing firmly until it snaps into
place 4. Turn the radio on 5. Press the Push to Talk
multiple times to allow the radio's chip to recognize the
headset
